“A Peaceful Stay at Blakemere Touring Park – Perfect for Families and Motorsport Fans 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Jul 31, 2025 by natalie firth on Blakemere Touring ParkWe recently stayed at Blakemere Touring Park while exploring Cheshire, and I have to say it was the perfect base for our family trip. The park is conveniently located just a short drive from Oulton Park Circuit, where we attended the Gold Cup weekend, so it couldn’t have been more ideal for us. 🏕️ The Park itself Blakemere offers fantastic facilities for families. We stayed in our 4-berth single-axle caravan, and it was absolutely perfect for the Euro-spec pitch we were on. The pitch was spacious, level, and well-equipped with electric hook-ups, water access, and waste disposal. The pitches are nicely separated by hedges, giving a sense of privacy without feeling closed off. It was also surprisingly quiet and peaceful, making it easy to unwind after a busy day at the races. The park is well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, which made the stay even better. If you’re planning to bring along a dog, it’s also pet-friendly, which is a nice touch. Whether you’re staying in a caravan, tent, or another setup, the park provides everything you need for a comfortable stay. 🏘️ The Visitor Center Village Just a short stroll from the park is Blakemere Village, a small yet pleasant tourist attraction with an old‑world charm. Although it’s a purpose-built village. It’s a lovely spot for an afternoon wander. a We spent a couple of hours browsing the quirky little shops, grabbing coffee at one of the cafés, and even picked up a couple of handmade souvenirs. There’s something delightfully nostalgic about it, and it felt like a proper little escape without leaving the area. 🚗 Nearby Attractions What really makes Blakemere Touring Park stand out, aside from its peaceful vibe, is how centrally located it is for local attractions. After spending the day at the Gold Cup at Oulton Park, we were able to come back and relax without worrying about a long drive. Blakemere Village is a bonus for those who want a change of pace from motorsport – it’s a great option for a quieter, slower day or just to stretch your legs. We also took a short drive to explore the Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, which is about 15 minutes away. The outlet offers a range of stores, restaurants, and even an cinema, if you fancy a family movie night. 🛏️ Overall Verdict Blakemere Touring Park is an absolute gem. It’s a well‑kept, peaceful site with everything you need for a relaxing stay, especially if you’re heading to Oulton Park or other nearby attractions. It has a family‑friendly atmosphere, is pet‑friendly, and offers a quiet retreat after a busy day. The Blakemere Village is also a lovely place to explore and provides the perfect mix of local shops, cafes, and unique tourist attractions. Whether you’re here for the races, a countryside getaway, or a simple family staycation, this site offers great value for money and a welcoming atmosphere. Five stars — highly recommended for families looking for comfort, charm, and proximity to major attractions like Oulton Park.“
